Dear Jamie,

 

My family and I want to thank you for the beautiful gift of your art work-the exquisite calligraphed candle. It will always be a reminder of the magnificent Torah you wrote to honor my mother's memory. In your choice of excerpts from the Shacharit Service and the Proverbs, I feel you have captured my mother's "soul"--her inner gift to bring light, to share her knowledge and love of Torah and Hebrew with her community through her teaching.

 

The memory of seeing the completed Torah for the first time, and the moving and meaningful dedication celebrations will be with me and my family forever. I am so grateful that this project and the culminating celebrations meant so much to you, your children, and your family. I hope you know that your Torah will always be a source of blessing and joy for the community of Temple Emanu-El and for us. All the best in 2011.
