Torahs
The 613th mitzvah (precept) of the Torah is to write a Torah Scroll. This Mitzvah is fulfilled when an individual or a group writes, or commissions
the writing of, a new Torah; it may be desired by family members in memory
of a loved one or by a synagogue congregation as a communal project.
Taking part in this nearly four thousand year old Mitzvah is a celebration
of Jewish heritage and a unifying experience. Those who have commissioned
a Torah will be updated with progress throughout its writing.
