STaM

STaM,the acronym for Sefer Torah, Tefillin and Mezuzah, describes the main texts with which a Sofer (scribe) works. Ktav Tam offers a variety of STaM products that are painstakingly written with the highest standard of Halachic integrity.

Torahs

The 613th mitzvah (precept) of the Torah is to write a Torah Scroll. This Mitzvah is fulfilled when an individual or a group writes, or commissions the writing of, a new Torah; it may be desired by family members in memory of a loved one or by a synagogue congregation as a communal project.
Taking part in this nearly four thousand year old Mitzvah is a celebration of Jewish heritage and a unifying experience. Those who have commissioned a Torah will be updated with progress throughout its writing.

Shown here are several pictures of a Torah Scroll written by Jamie Shear in addition to pictures of the Torah’s dedication at Montreal’s Noam Jewish Center.
Torahs come in different sizes (7"- 20"), scripts, and price ranges. Accessories for a Torah (wood rollers, mantle) can also be ordered. For further information, please contact the scribe.
