Scribe in Residence

Ktavtam’s scribe, (sofer) Jamie Shear is available to come to your synagogue, community, camp or any event to share his knowledge of the scribal arts, (Safrut STaM). Jamie has extensive experience in conducting workshops, demonstrations and courses in Hebrew Torah-script and calligraphy to all ages and backgrounds.

He also covers topics of scripture illumination and art and with enthusiasm covers foundational principals relating to theory and technique of the scribal arts that has been intrinsic to Judaism for over 3000 years.
